Back with another bold and unapologetic single is LA-native KiNG MALA with “Homebody”. With her moniker translating to “bad bitch” in Spanish, the singer is definitely giving us fierce vibes with her latest single, as she speaks her mind over throbbing basslines and feel-good piano melodies. The brazen singer touches on themes such as lust and recklessness for her most honest single to date, as she opens up on her social anxiety and awkwardness.
Opening up in the single, KiNG MALA said, “This song is about my social anxiety and how much I really just want to be home like… all of the time. I’ve struggled for a long time feeling like I belonged and trying to be comfortable with myself. I truly always feel awkward and dorky and misplaced at every party I’m invited to, and the more I talked to people about it, the more I’ve realised most people feel the exact same way as I do.”
Having teamed up with Bille Eilish and Katy Perry favourite John Greenham for her latest single, the singer is well on her way to making waves in the industry – watch this space.
