Bedroom-pop producer Indigo Eyes (an alias for 19-year-old artist Joseph Robson) is back with a shiny new offering from his forthcoming EP – “Close To You”. On any given day you’d expect to see the multi-hyphenate artiste producing funk-filled guitar riffs on his lonesome, debuting remixes of the tropical nature for the likes of Oh Wonder, or even taking a lakeside stroll on the rare occasion that he’s not in the studio, but today is all about bringing us the tunes.

Following on from “Forbidden”, featuring the heavenly vocals of LissA, Robson’s latest track is brimming with more shimmery, electro-filled synths and feel good swagger. On “Close To You” the artist teams up with De Rien, combining the atmospheric soundscapes synonymous with house music and the German singer’s own breathtaking vocal falsettos. The result? A dreamy distortion of hip-swaying bass and romantic tropical drums that we simply cannot turn off.

“With close to you being the title track of the EP, I wanted it to represent the side of house music that inspired the project as a whole,” Robson explains. “Lyrically, the track is an attempt to capture the feeling at the beginning of a relationship where you’re both starting to trust the other person but are still unsure about they’re intentions, leaving both of you hesitant to fully commit to one another…”
