Just when we thought all hope was lost for this year with cancelled festivals and pushed back air dates, HBO have pulled it out of the bag and are blessing us with two more episodes of Euphoria. Yes, you read that right, not one, but two. Set to air on HBO December 6th, the two episode special will bridge the gap between the first season and the second, taking us through the aftermath of Rue (Zendaya) falling back into old habits as she leaves Jules (Hunter Schafer) behind on a train to a big city.
While this might seem like breaking news, Zendaya first teased the special on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! stating, “We might end up doing a little bridge episode. I don’t really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment… So we have something live on until we are able to go into season two.”
The new announcement comes after Euphoria snatched up three Emmys last month, taking home prizes for Best Female Lead in a Drama, Outstanding Contemporary Makeup and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. With more news to follow on the plot of the two-episode drama, we suggest grabbing the glitter and smudging that purple eyeliner as this Christmas is set to be Euphoria galore!
