We could all do with some good news right now. And one artist bringing it in the tightly packaged form of irresistibly good vibes, is singer-songwriter and indisputable rising star Smilee with her brand new track “Wavelength”.

A song all about communication and meeting your “people” aka tribe, it crackles into life with playful warped synths, before an upbeat propulsive rhythm and the Brit School alumni’s piercing vocals cut through the melody. The artist is spreading positive energy and serotonin-packed bass lines at a time when we need it the most.

“Some people are just your people,” explains Smilee. “‘Wavelength’ is all about when this happens and stars align, it helps you to stay on the right path. I want my music to embody those rare moments when you feel absolutely resolved of responsibility. Far too often we are consumed with thinking ahead, or looking back. I realised music is the ultimate tool to bring people into the present moment. I am inspired by moments like these. I believe being present is what brings true happiness. From an abstract point of view the video portrays this and shows how we all give out an energy to others positive or negative.”
