“Deep Breaths” ushers in an entirely new era for the singer.

Nothing and no-one will stop rising pop starlet Audriix in her tracks. The singer took her first foray into music at age 2, clamouring for lessons in violin instead of for her baby bottle. Over the next few years things didn’t stop there, and she moved on to mastering the piano, viola, guitar, drums, songwriting at age 6, and, of course, singing.

Not even the task of taking on 3 degrees would stop her from her one true calling, leading her to start production on solo material while she was studying at Stanford University. Now with a breathtaking EP and debut album under her belt, Audriix knows that superstardom waits for no one, and is grabbing the bull by the horns.

Chock-full of plucky guitar rhythms and the blissful DNA of any classic 80s synthpop track, “Deep Breaths” ushers in an entirely new era for the singer. The song is brimming with attitude and unapologetic swagger, seeking to bring about female empowerment by drawing from the artists own personal experiences in life. “I won’t apologise so don’t you patroniiise,” she clamours on the chorus, demanding to be heard no matter what the consequence. This multi-instrumentalist is calling on us to stand up for ourselves when facing oppression and to never, ever feel bad about owning your feelings.
