Jimi Somewhere really is the sonic gift that keeps on giving. Having enchanted us with his ethereal vocals and atmospheric sound for the last few years now, today the multi-instrumentalist unleashed the video for his latest single, “Jesus”, featuring the transcendent Kacy Hill.

The track’s video is inspired by ‘epic journeys’, continuing where the artist’s last video for “Bottle Rocket” left off as he galavants through no-mans-land to get back to his girl. Think Lord of the Rings, or Britney Spears’ Crossroads, but just a tad more dreamy. “I have this big dream of making real movies one day but I don’t have the resources yet so I put that energy into my music videos,” Jimi shares.

Coming straight off his forthcoming debut album, Nothing Gold Can Stay, the track is also heavily influenced by the larger than life, participatory spirit of Christian summer camps tunes. Pretty unique, huh? With guitars and echoey vocals aplenty, the two embark on a powerfully woozy journey back to one and other, having us cross our fingers (and toes) in hopes that they’ll make it in the end.
