Despite these uncertain times, the pandemic has not stopped various fashion houses from putting on a show, including Miu Miu. Transporting us courtside virtually, the fashion house took focus on the formative years of tweens, teens and twenty-somethings for their sport-inspired SS21 collection. Capturing the spirit of girlhood, the collection embodied two sides to a female, the practical work side in gym-style wear and the sultry side, with bold colours and statement pieces.

Opened by supermodel Kate Moss’ burgeoning model daughter Lila Moss, the show kicked off with an array of slick outerwear styled with fashionable turtlenecks and sporty hot pants. Stripped blazers paired with joggers and sporty dresses adorned with bows and jackets –  the collection brought back memories of teenagers in the early noughties sporting kitten heels and sparkling halter tops. The fusion of sportswear and classic elegance was met with tennis dresses, mock-cleats and simplistic silhouettes with mix-matched colourways.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a fashion show without its notable attendees, and while celebs might not have been able to rub shoulders with one another and gossip about the latest collection and shows, various celebs such as Anya Taylor-Joy, Addison Rae and Beanie Feldstein were seen by video links digital places around an elliptical stadium.
