We all have that playlist that we listen to when we’re in our feels, and singer-songwriter Bella Hutton has dropped a new track that is a must-add. Showcasing her beautifully intimate vocals with ethereal piano-led harmonies, “Only You” takes us through an effortlessly crafted soft-pop soundscape led by lush atmospheric choir backings and heart-warming lyricism.
Bella explains that while the track might be a sad song, it celebrates happiness in simplicity: “It’s kind of a sad song but happy at the same time because it’s slow but also uplifting. It’s about when you are in love with someone but it’s good for once and there are no heartbreaks… which is unusual!”
Drawing inspiration from icons Amy Winehouse and The 1975, the 19-year-old has already proved 2020 is her year, with features in Spotify’s famed UK New Pop playlists and previous single “Shadows” capturing the hearts of thousands. With more music in the works, we think this rising star has a huge career ahead of her.
