Wonderland HQ pick their favourite collections from this year’s sun-soaked proceedings.
As a second lockdown looms and summer threatens to end, never have we been more grateful for the sun-soaked scenes of beloved Barcelona Fashion Week (aka 080). Here, less is more (we’re talking inches of fabric), but never has it detracted from the distinctive styles and boundary-pushing designs of the Catalan capital.
Naturally, Wonderland HQ felt it most apt to weigh in – here are the top picks from the editors…
I’ve never seen a brand so effortlessly bridge that want for cheeky garms that aren’t too hip hugging or gut-revealing, but ultimately still serve sex on a plate. Their SS21 offering is a collection that explodes from, but also melts off of, the body – with huge ruffled anklets, eyeball gouging shoulder pads and the sexiest asymmetric jean and tank top combos known to man – things all totally necessary for me to hide my lockdown-induced podge. How could I not be obsessed?

Love this collection! It’s giving Turk and Caicos vibes and has me longing for a holiday in the Caribbean! It captures a late night sunset perfectly with orange mid tones and colourful landscapes. The collection is so relaxing and is the perfect balance of sophistication and casual with light flowing dress and statement trench coats . The matching joggers and jacket set are screaming my name.

If tailoring was always this sumptuous, we would constantly be crisped up to the nines. But Mans just does things differently. Billowing silky blouses emblazoned with intricate graphic faces and the softest blush hues. Heavenly.
Yes, Belinda Carlisle sang it once, but the truism remains: heaven is indeed a place on earth. Especially when the colour palettes are as sumptuous as that of Eñaut’s collection. Only the most muted cloud-blues, crisp whites and surprising pops of perspex – sometimes all at the same time for dreamy tie-dye staples. Love.
