They’ve been steadily building up a repertoire in the indie music scene with their fresh sound and penchant for emotive and relatable lyricism. Now Irish group Magazines are back with new tune “Happy Alone” – with lo-fi qualities and layers of drawn-out guitars, Magazines tell the story of a troubled relationship with lead singer Cath Leahy’s ethereal vocals guiding us through.
The song is a must-listen for those who are well versed in the indie scene, as the group are giving us Wolf Alice vibes with hints of Silversun Pickup. The group – consisting of Cath, Shayne, Tom and Dan – first erupted onto the scene last year with their indie-pop anthem “Tough”, and now the group gearing up to take centre stage with more new music on the way.
