The masked group are giving us early noughties electro-pop vibes with hints of Jorja Smith for their enthralling new single.

Giving us Jorja Smith vibes with elements of dark electro-pop is anonymous music collective Porcelain, with their new single “Destruction.” The group navigate self-destructive behaviour and the imprisonment of the mind, over building basslines and enthralling choruses for their debut tune. The lead singer’s sweeping vocals showcase defiant strength and soulful yearning, for a song that has us reminiscent of early noughties pop music.

Speaking on the release of their new tune, the secretive group said, “‘Destruction is a track about the battle with the self. It’s about the imprisonment of the mind, with the self-destructive nature that plays out subconsciously to ultimately take part in annihilation of life itself.”

Created as a counterpart to society’s obsession with celebrity culture, Porcelain’s faceless mannequin look is their wish to not be defined by labels or society. The group have released their debut EP “Part One”, and we’re excited to see what else they have in store for us!
