As much as we want to deny it, and close our eyes to the truth, the crisp terracotta leaves on the ground reveal all: we might be facing some of the last days of summer.

But just in time, Alexander McQueen is here to have us looking forward to more layered-up evenings, with their dreamy new Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign.

Romantic silhouettes take centre-stage as we’re faced with white billowing dresses with cascading hems and cinched with hardware harnessing. Elsewhere, tailoring is broken up into deconstructed prints – think subtle houndstooth patchworked with the sleekest office black. And jewellery – as is the way of the iconic British house – resembles ores from the deepest depths of the earth, sleekly stacked and glinting with subtle heart.

The AW20 collection also sees the development of The Tall Story. The Taller sister of The Story sees enhanced colour lining and elegant features blended to create a bag fit for all occasions. Inspired by jewellery, the modern metallic handles allow the bag to be folded down or or hand held. With oversized quilting and stylish colours, the bag is a must for AW20.
