Chicago-hailed musician Glded is transporting us to our feels for his intimate new track “Waiting Up”. With slow melodic guitars and delicate productions, the Indiana-born singer incorporates his love for the late noughties folk scene in this beautifully crafted song. Taken from his forthcoming EP “Moraine”, Glded’s latest single serves as a statement piece from the artist and sets the tone for the upcoming project.
Speaking on the release, Glded states, “ It’s about quelling noisy thoughts before getting to sleep. When I wrote the song, I was travelling between time zones on a weekly basis, which had a pretty negative effect on my sleep schedule – both late nights and early mornings. When you wake up the next day, everything seems much more manageable. But until then, it can be a battle to quiet a restless mind.”
The rising singer has been pulling inspirations from his adventurers travelling to the stunning Patagonia landscapes and the glacial wonders of Iceland for his new EP, and we can’t wait to hear how he incorporates this into his music.
