At no other time have we craved a dose of euphoria more, and one act bringing it wave after wave is British synth-pop duo Affair with their brand new eclectic dance track.

Brimming with mesmerising and sprawling soundscapes, “Higher Still” is a daring feat, packed with mellifluous joyful melodies, distorted staccato synths and propulsive percussion – often making for a somewhat trippy experience.

“Higher Still” marks the first release after eight years of silence from the once much-hyped act, with the track taken from Affair’s highly-anticipated EP “Clouds” – covering far-reaching yet apt topics from isolation, loneliness, to even the urge to to escape.

“During lockdown, we could make many parallels between the songs on ‘Clouds’ and the situation we all find ourselves in,” explains Kirsty and Mike of Affair. “It made us realise how relevant they were to the current circumstance and how the songs themselves offer some escapism.”
