More often than not, fashion and nature (especially the conservation of it) don’t tend to go hand in hand. But one brand making waves with their efforts to make a difference in the world in line with this week’s World Elephant Day is Elizabeth Scarlett.

The luxury homeware and gifting label have dropped their gorgeous Pouch For Purpose-Milk For Elephants – a beautifully crafted clutch, travel pouch, jewellery or stationery pouch, as well as a beauty and makeup pouch – which will see proceeds going towards feeding elephants for charity.

A hand-illustrated design sees a mother elephant leading her calf and is delicately embroidered onto soft 100% cotton velvet in a dusky coral, with matching coral lining. The new pouch will benefit the David Sheldrick Trust in Kenya, and the sale of each pouch provides 2 specialist bottles of milk to feed a rescued orphaned elephant.

“I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of time with elephants in Southern and Eastern Africa in their natural habitat”, explains Elizabeth Petrides, Founder & Creative Director of Elizabeth Scarlett. “Their family dynamic, majestic presence and sensitivity reminds us of how important it is to take care of each other and preserve our natural world. We are so much more connected to animals and nature than we let ourselves believe, and I am so grateful for the work that the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust does and proud of our community for supporting them”.
