Putting out mesmerising and cinematic meditations on life is Chicago-hailed rising star LAN Party, with his brand new EP “PLUR”.

Trickling otherworldly synths open the collection of songs, before a simmering bassline kicks in, and the opening track “PLUR” builds to a crescendo. “Glossy1s” twinkles, showcasing the artist’s ethereal falsetto. And “K33PSake” featuring Chase Alex is kaleidoscopic – a polished production wonder. Finally “4UBOY” is literally heartbreak personified with sombre augmented vocals. Listen and weep.

“Inspiration for this EP began with a mantra I stumbled across looking through old 90’s rave zine,” explains LAN Party. “Peace Love Unity Respect (often abbreviated as PLUR) is the code by which all rave kids are expected to live. I admired the simplicity of the sentiment and wanted to apply it to a different musical context, resulting in this project. Four songs, representing each concept and the experiences that have helped me to understand them.”
