The NYC label taps the ethereal artist for its otherworldly SS21 short film.
Known for his ethereal window-shattering falsetto, Moses Sumney has now been tapped by NYC brand Thom Browne, to showcase a first look at their SS21 offering.
And the result is a devastatingly beautiful short film, in which the musician is seen performing his own striking arrangement of the “Olympic Hymn” – dressed in a floor-length sequin wrap skirt from the brand (a sneakpeek at the forthcoming collection).
While details on the collection are being kept under wraps, the brand has so far revealed that it will be inspired by the 1924 and 1936 Olympics, as well as “a balance between masculine and feminine, athleticism and grace … the power of sport, a ballet of bodies in motion.”
The clip also has revealed Thom Browne’s collaboration with Beats by Dre, as Sumney is seen wearing the wireless headphones at several points. The limited-edition collaboration is set to drop this month and proceeds will go to charity.
