Undulating guitar plucking sets the sizzling tempo for “No Drama” – the brand new funk-filled pop offering from Nonô. But it’s only when then the Brazil native’s honeyed, commanding vocals sear through the airwaves, that you know you’re onto something different.

The catchy track imparts cutting, tongue-in-cheek lyricism, telling the story of a dysfunctional relationship – one where one partner regularly incites conflict – debunking ingrained gender stereotypes.

“I used to date a guy who was very overwhelming and dramatic,” explains Nonô. “He would overanalyse everything I said, which would then cause a fight. I got tired of that. I wrote ‘No Drama’ about this change of perspective; women can be chilled when it comes to relationships and that’s something we should see more of in the mainstream media.”
