In the absence of this year’s Wimbledon Championships, Polo Ralph Lauren have launched a new interactive and augmented reality feature, Wimbledon-style. Partnering with social media giant Snapchat, the game allows Snapchatters to turn the ground beneath their feet into Wimbledon’s famous tennis court.
Known as “ground segmentation”, Polo Ralph Lauren is the first brand to use this advanced technology which can be accessed via a unique Snapcode. The fun and highly addictive experience also allows players to take part in a new interactive tennis game, featuring the iconic Polo bear character. While we might not be able to sip on a Pimms and lay on Henman Hill eating strawberries and cream, this exciting virtual experience gives us our annual dose of tennis.
