Now lockdown is starting to ease and we’re tiptoeing into the new normal, the hospitality industry is finding new ways of getting people together while sticking social-distancing. Enter APT. Devised by brand consultant Richard Lee Massey, the concept allows people to hire an apartment at Town Hall Hotel with a leading chef of your choice, who will create a menu for you and up to 10 guests. The concept allows guests to have dates, celebratory dinners, engagement parties or even business lunches while obeying social-distancing. The roster of chefs that the featured range from Bibendum Oyster Bar’s Claude Bosi to John Li from the Dumpling Shack.
Speaking on the launch Massey said: “I came up with APT about a month into lockdown. The pandemic brought the industry to its knees, so I guess the idea was born from a love for my chef friends and all their restaurants. I was eyeing up restaurant projects pre-lockdown, but even as government guidelines change, the future of restaurants is yet to be determined.”
