Following the release of his English-language track “Control”, Indian singer-songwriter Armaan Malik is back with his bouncy pop track “next 2 me”. Having garnered over a billion streams and performed over 200 shows around the world, the musical sensation has emerged as one of the brightest talents in India for his versatility and soul-stirring lyrics.

We caught up with the cross-over artist, as he gives us his perfect “I miss you” playlist featuring artists such as Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Michael Bublé.

It’s a classic cover and my all-time favourite track, I still cannot skip this when this song pops up in the shuffle!

This is one of my favourite Justin Bieber songs. People know him for the “Sorry’s”, the “What Do You Mean’s”, and the “Yummy’s” of the world but I really feel ballads suit JB’s voice so well. Over the years, we have all seen him grow exponentially as an artist and I feel like this particular song is where he started exploring his strengths.

This song used to be my only companion during those times when I was on the road touring and had not seen my family..

Ed’s a genius when it comes to words! This particular song is just perfect and right where it needs to be – serene!

When I was studying at Berklee College of Music during the summer of 2011, we all had been asked to cover a pop/rock song and I very clearly remember this was the first song I had prepared for class. It just has so many fond memories attached to it. The energy and dynamic that this track has is just beautiful!

I don’t think Lauv has ever made a bad song. His lyrics hit the right chord just about every time. This one right here perfectly describes every lover’s current situation.

I love the arrangement on this song and Julia’s vocals are the right puzzle piece for this track. It just brings the whole song together, really love this record!

If I had to pick one song to describe the night, it’d be this song. It settles on such an easy, chill melody but it’s powerful. It’s magnificent!

This song makes me want to attend a stadium concert and just go lose myself to the energy of the pulsating beats. The drop on this track is everything!
