Lab-grown diamonds. Spectrums of impossible colours. Unbeatable jewellery innovations. And now Swarovski are making movements from within, all to fortify their future.

Following the announcement of Robert Buchbauer as CEO of Swarovski a couple of weeks ago, the world’s largest crystal manufacture has announced Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert as its first-ever company-wide director. Speaking on the announcement Engelbert says, “For decades, Swarovski has been illuminating the world of fashion, design, entertainment, in general, the whole creative industry. I am thrilled to be leading the creative vision of a cultural powerhouse like Swarovski in the future.”

Bringing together all aspects of Swarovski as a brand, Giovanna Battaglia will oversee the full creative direction of the company and take over the product portfolio across all sectors of the company.

The announcement is part of a major brand restructuring and repositioning within the company, and takes the jump from premium to the “accessible luxury” category. The first products designed by the new creative director will be showcased in the Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
