We might be confined to our four walls right now, but there’s something truly ritualistic and calming in the psychology of putting on make-up right now. Not to mention the endless Zoom calls. And who says we can’t practice beauty looks for when we’re finally unleashed from lockdown.
Last week on our Instagram, we asked you to pick a Chanel Beauty runway look to be recreated. Viewers chose the matte eyes at the iconic AW20 show, and in a brand new beauty tutorial, Chanel makeup artist Zoe Taylor has taken us through the products used, as well as all the techniques and tips to pull off the look – “all inspired by Lucia Pica’s makeup for the Fall/Winter 2020-21 show.”
In the easy-to-follow video, we are privy to essential tips such as using two concealers, what order to layer products, and where and when to blend.
Speaking on her inspiration for the 2020-21 Fall-Winter Ready-to-Wear show look, Lucia Pica, CHANEL Global Creative Make-up and Colour Designer explained: “The vibe and the energy of the makeup is a very heightened freshness with a 70’s twist. It’s about girls outdoors having blushed cheeks, glow on the skin. I added a touch of glamour by putting gloss on the lips.”
