Amidst this time of great uncertainty and isolation, it can be easy to feel a sense of stagnation or procrastination creeping over you. But Alexander McQueen is urging us to make the most of this lockdown period, with their brand new project McQueen Creators.
Starting from today, the fashion house’s followers are being encouraged to unlock their creativity and make art based on their favourite pieces from a selection of images shared on the brand’s social channels. Inspiring submissions will then be shared and celebrated on McQueen’s social media platforms.
Every week, a new creative concept will be unveiled, connecting followers and fans with McQueen’s team of collaborators – all through a series of digital tutorials.
First up? We’re sketching the succulent finale Rose dress from the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, displayed at the Roses installation in the house’s Bond Street open studio.
Future projects include 3-D creation, embroidery, and many more initiatives yet to be announced – and will have us flexing our creative muscles for the foreseeable future.
