Emerging queer-pop star Regulus Red is a firecracker in more ways than one. The singer fuses nostalgia with the name of his favourite colour, a hue associated with blood, love and sensuality. Combining this with his bright ginger hair, you then have a total triple threat on your hands.

Red describes his sound as a harmonious merging of electronica and pop, and nowhere is this more prevalent than on his latest single – “High Price”. A playful, high-energy track which fizzes and builds to a dramatic crescendo.

Red explains the track is about “fighting against your nemesis, never backing down and
enjoying life in the midst of the battle of life! It’s knowing what you’re worth and screaming it’.
