Pearl necklaces. Pussybow cravats. A cheeky asymmetric earring. We’ve come to yearn for – nay – rely on, these little ornate stylistic flourishes from Harry Styles to brighten up our days. And now we can confirm after watching the singer’s highly-anticipated music video for “Falling” (we literally bore holes into the countdown on our laptops), one of the lead songs for his album Fine Line – it does not disappoint.
Dressed in a Gucci lilac tulle top as well as a handful of chunky jewellery on every finger, Styles sombrely drinks whisky and plays the piano – which slowly starts to fill up with water. Yes. The singer is literally drowning in his sorrow.
The room eventually fills up – The Shape of Water style – and which point, the singer majestically and slowly floats upwards – tulle train streaming upwards. Our gasps of pleasure are deafening.
