As we all know, a brand new year marks a brand new you – and there’s no better time to have a full wardrobe overhaul.
So it’s only fitting that Gucci are ringing in the upcoming Chinese New Year and celebrating the Year of the Mouse (beginning 25th January 2020, fyi) with a capsule collection of pieces that will feature none other than Mickey Mouse. Very apt, indeed.
Think vintage-style kitsch accessories from leather handbags, small leather goods, luggage and women’s and men’s shoes. And elsewhere, colourful prints, jacquard motifs and embroidered patches with Mickey Mouse featuring throughout.
In the line, keep your eye out for a new material, the Mini GG Supreme canvas: a beige and black fabric that features a vintage Mini GG pattern with an embossed Mickey Mouse design.
Masterminded by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, the playful campaign was shot (in Disneyland, no less) by Gucci fave, photographer and director Harmony Korine, and stars Gucci ambassador and actress Ni Ni, actor Earl Cave and designer, stylist and poet Zoë Bleu.
The collection will launch 3rd January, 2020 in stores and online.
