We are getting major The Lizzie McGuire Movie vibes from Fendi’s latest campaign, ‘A Baguette Roman Holiday’. Starring our modern-day Sabrina (The Chilling Adventures Of…) Kiernan Shipka and boyfriend Christian Coppola, the pair serve Hilary Duff and Paolo realness all the way. Swapping out the melodrama of becoming Italian pop sensations for a rose-coloured trip across the romantic city, the couple lap up all of the sights and scenes the city has to offer. And although this exclusive clip of the campaign is soundtracked not by the seminal classic “This Is What Dreams Are Made Of”, Fatboy Slim’s feel-good hit “Praise You” still has us equally infatuated and desperate to join in.

The baguette was first released in 1997 and quickly became a must-have among the fashion set, partly due to its immortalisation in several episodes of Sex and The City. Fendi’s contribution to the show gave Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie that much needed fashion-oriented edge that we all remember so vividly.

Over twenty years on, the bag is still a staple in the brand’s catalogue, making Shipka and Coppola’s modelling of the pieces so perfect. The pair, who are adorned in jumbo and mini iterations of the signature bags in bubble gum pink and the house’s classic pastel brown, look so effortlessly put-together as they hit up all the tourist hotspots across the city, you can practically feel them both relishing the moment – knowing this is exactly what Carrie Bradshaw wished she’d be doing in her twenties.

I guess anything would look good on you in this case, after all, it is Rome. But if you’re searching for a sure-fire way to garner plenty envious looks from baguette-less passers-by on your travels, that should be reason enough to grab one, right?
