For his most recent collection, 3.Paradis’ Emeric Tchatchoua takes us on an emotional journey back to his childhood. The path we embark on is one that full of duality, opposition, and constant fragility. Tchatchoua puts the issue of social inequality to the forefront of the campaign, exploring how those from lower socio-economic backgrounds have to strive for success, which at times can hinder how you progress in the world.

Enlisting the talent of Rashidi Chuck Noah, the pair capture many of the hidden emotions young people endure on the paradoxical journey they face as going through life, whether they are affected by government austerity, discriminatory policies or a general deprivation of important resources.

Titled *SEE YOU ON THE OTHERSIDE*, the result is a stark blending of streetwear and pop culture references. The thematic underscoring of hands pushing and pulling the subject every which way manifests itself as octopus tentacles and electrified hand motifs adorning various tees and jumpers. Shirts ironically printed with the word “Paradise” pair with distressed and fraying knits, a physical bridging of two impossible worlds.
