The occasion? A Self-Portrait Affair. An immersive trip to the city of romance, Venice, permitting a lucky bunch to delve shimmer-first into the brand’s highly-anticipated Resort 2020 collection.
Gondala rides. Dinners in intimate Italian restaurants akin to the setting of the Orient Express. Jaw-dropping performances from drag titan Violet Chachki. Day trips to the vibrantly coloured Burano island, world-famous for its needle lace-making – also a mainstay of the Instagram-famous Self-Portrait pieces (previously worn by the likes of Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and former Wonderland cover babe Kristen Stewart). And then the cherry on top: a black-tie ball at the aforementioned palazzo which saw big-time influencers and models – including Susie Bubble, Leomie Anderson and more – all trussed up high-glamour style in the latest collection from Malaysian-born founder Han Chong.
