In honour of a successful five-year-long partnership, Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky and Boiler Room have once again come together, and this time to work on their most exciting project to date. Having collaborated together with over 220 artists, working across three continents to explore local music scenes through their True Music Project, this year the companies have gone the extra mile and set-up the True Music Fund.

The aim of the fund is to kickstart local music event ideas and keep existing ones going, fuelling positive change in local music scenes and supporting music subcultures, and follows the earlier announcement of the brand’s music strategy which calls on fans to ‘Take A Stand For True Music.’ The idea, shared by Boiler Room CEO Blaise Belville and Ballantine’s Head of Music, Tom Elton, is to give back to the communities that the two companies have been working with over the past five years. Anyone can apply, whether you’re an artist, promoter or creative, wanting to advance your local music community. The journeys of people who are granted the fund will be documented, creating world-wide hype about the project and the music, and inspiration for struggling musicians everywhere. With a maximum imbursement of 20K to successful applicants, the results of this project will certainly be ones to watch, and we’re excited to see where it goes.
