Piano ballads that blend into synthy pop beats. Lyrics that reflect on nostalgic memories of coming-of-age. Influences ranging from “90s-style parallel compressed drums” to “Bill Withers’ seminal album Still Bill”. Jane Holiday’s debut EP has it all.

Recently touring with electro-indie duo Tender, Holiday’s career is on the rise, and “Still Ill” confirms his penchant for intimate songwriting and evocative indie-pop melodies.

“I feel like I’ve captured the scale of emotions I’ve felt throughout my work”, Holiday explains. “Listening back, the majority of the EP is fairly self reflective. It feels like a coming-of-age project in some capacity. A response to growing up and being willing to admit my fear of aging, and the struggle that comes with searching for who I am as a person and what my role is as a human on earth”.
