You’ve probably seen the memes of Florence Pugh as the May Queen in Midsommar wearing a slightly excessive flower crown, and later an entire dress made from brightly coloured petals. In Wan’s latest video for indie R&B track “Spend My Dayz”, his eyes are covered with roses, to represent blocking out reality and not letting it affect his creative process.

Flipping from singing to rapping and back again, Wan’s genre-defying sound originated from performing in his church’s choir, to playing the trumpet and piano in school, before recording music in his childhood room that resulted in his new dreamy track.
