There’s no mistaking the work of Philip Colbert, a pop-artist whose work is a vibrant overflowing landscape of pin-pointed tongue-in-cheek cultural and social references. Think a Renaissance painting meets Andy Warhol.
And now, Montblanc is celebrating the launch of its first ever travel range, #MY4810, with an exciting east London pop-up and partnership with the iconic British artist.
To celebrate #MY4810, Philip Colbert has customised 49 black cabin-size #MY4810 trolleys with a painted limited-edition logo design – which will form one huge wall in the store.
In east London (Brushfield St near Spitalfields) between 15-20 October, Montblanc and Philip Colbert will present In Transit, an immersive retail pop-up experience that will allow visitors to experience Colbert’s iconic “Lobster Land.”
Think: hyper-pop bespoke window displays, an army of mini Lobster sculptures, and a live screening of Colbert’s The Year of the Lobster.
Visitors will be able to purchase the limited edition #MYPC4810 trolley as well as the Extreme 2.0 line of fine leather goods and the Summit 2 line (Montblanc’s digital interpretation of fine watchmaking).
