If your plans before the 31st October include fitting in a pre-Brexit-uncertainty weekend away to a European city, Amsterdam, with its bustling nightlife, relaxed atmosphere and endless museums, is the perfect choice. So when W Amsterdam invited us down for the weekend to experience the buzzy city in all its glory, we couldn’t say no.

Situated between the Royal Palace and the UNESCO-listed Singel canal, W Amsterdam consists of 238 rooms and suites to choose from, plus two restaurants,a rooftop bar, a gym, the AWAY spa and plenty of event space. Merging contemporary local design with historical details, the stylish, comfortable rooms aren’t all the hotel has to offer, with local and international DJs filling up the floor of the hotel’s clubs and ample opportunities for Insta-friendly sunset-and-cocktail pics on the roof.

From 16th-20th October W Hotel is also partnering up with Amsterdam Dance Event, the mini-festival that promises five days and nights of electronic music across more than 200 venues. Nurse your hangover the next morning at the award-winning AWAY spa, which includes a sauna, steam room and a whirlpool. And if you’re looking to live your best life while you’re there, choose from three decadent WOW suites and two lavish Extreme WOW suites. We’ll be back for sure.
