Ahead of their second album My Resignation, indie-pop duo Geowulf have released coming-of-age-inspired song “Lonely”, offering their own musings on growing up and delving into themes of loneliness, acceptance and self-love.

Navigating the ever-confusing rollercoaster of emotions that your 20s bring, “Lonely” tackles these feelings through conversational lyrics imbued with honesty against an upbeat lo-fi backdrop.

Speaking about the dreamy pop track, Star – one half of Geowulf alongside Toma – explains “In a way, ‘Lonely’ epitomises a lot of what this album means to me… A bold and welcomed acceptance of myself and my own company. Feeling less and less like I need the approval of others. That’s one of the many nice things about getting a bit older”.
