We all remember reading the Mr. Men books as a kid, obsessively adding to the ever-growing collection of characters on our bookshelf and begging our parents to buy us the new ones when they came out.

Lazy Oaf is going heavy on the childhood nostalgia with their new collection, a collaboration with Mr. Men itself. Created by Roger Hargreaves when his son asked him “What does a tickle look like?”, the Mr. Men books have been a staple of every kid’s bedtime stories since the first was released in 1971. Now, the ‘70s-style illustrations will adorn t-shirts, denim skirts, a jumpsuit and even a bucket hat in this colourful new collection, which has us longing to be back in our childhood bedrooms reading about our fave Mr. Men characters.

The range mostly features Mr. Lazy (living the simple life we’re all jealous of), lounging on the blue checkerboard pattern that made up his tablecloth in the Mr. Lazy book. Mr. Greedy, Mr. Happy and Mr. Wrong all make an appearance, representing each of our moods throughout the day. Walter the Worm, the Mr. Men version of Where’s Wally who creeps into almost all of the books, also pops up on an oversized cardigan.

The range launches on the 22nd August in select Lazy Oaf stores and online.
