Talking himself out of an existential crisis, the guitar-led track arrives as a galvanising anthem for all those working two jobs, late nights round the clock, or against the grain to achieve their dreams.
“‘Higher’ is a song about not letting yourself get down. It’s a reminder to keep your head up and grind through the hard times. Whatever it is that is holding you back – job, relationships, money – a positive outlook and good work ethic will help you get to the other side,” Taos explains. “Personally, I was going through a rough patch when I wrote this one and it helped motivate me to get up off my ass and do something about it…”
