Velvet Negroni – a.k.a Jeremy Nutzman – teases more of what’s to come from forthcoming debut album NEON BROWN, with his latest synthy R&B track “KURT KOBAIN”.

Blending punchy indie rock with soulful, symphonic vocals, “KURT KOBAIN” flits between genres just as the experimental artist does – having been sampled by Kid Cudi and Kanye West, featuring on Bon Iver’s latest album and soon opening for psychedelic rock prodigies Tame Impala. The surreal video for “KURT KOBAIN” features Lutzman in a glow-in-the-dark outfit, running and dancing through a forest and along a deserted road, and at one point moonwalking, casually.

Describing the ‘80s-inspired track, Nutzman explains: “KURT KOBAIN is a story about the power dynamics in a particular relationship. The lyrics are directly indirect”.
