It’s the year of Fleabag. Not only did Phoebe Waller-Bridge bless us with the second season of our dreams (and a Hot Priest) earlier this year, she then announced that her fourth-wall-breaking protagonist will be returning to the stage in a one woman show this month. Now, every single one of the show’s scripts – with all their painfully awkward moments and glorious wit – will be available in the form of a book, for us to pore over to our heart’s content.

Fleabag: Scriptures, available to pre-order now, brings together the ingenious scripts of both seasons, annotated with stage directions (expect quite a few to be a variation of ‘look to the side’), and some new writing from Waller-Bridge. So while we won’t be getting a third season, we can at least relive all the moments where we laughed, cringed and, when it came to the last ever episode, uncontrollably sobbed. To get a sense of what’s to come, Waterstones have released this excerpt from the book, making us want to go back and binge both seasons again immediately:

“Her coat falls open. She only has her bra on underneath. She pulls out the little sculpture of the woman with no arms. It sits on her lap. Two women. One real. One not. Both with their innate femininity out. End.”

Fleabag: Scriptures is out on 5th November, and is available to preorder now.
