A hoarder’s paradise. A spaceship of aliens. Hollywood’s golden era of showbiz. If there’s one thing Alessandro Michele has an affinity for, it’s engulfing us in whatever incredible oddball Gucci universe he has decided upon for that season.
And for the new Fall/Winter 19 campaign, we’ve been transported to the heyday of Prêt-À-Porter. Shot by Glen Luchford, the nostalgic shots are inspired by iconic images spanning four decades: 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
Retro magazine covers. Poodles in Paris. A stuffy, old-school catwalk with grand hair bouffants, and not an iPhone in sight. All Gucci obviously.
Also, notice the slow but persistent prevalence of Gucci’s surrealist golden ear accessories. We’ll take two please!
