WONDERLIST

Eve, Taliwhoah and more on this week’s Wonderlist playlist.

Eve – “Reload” ft. Konshens

Eve-y Eve is back. The queen behind irresistible 00s hip hop classics “Let Me Blow Your Mind” and “Tambourine” (we still have to do the hand-waving motion during the opening bars) has returned with her first track in 6 years, “Reload”. And did you expect anything else but a top-tier banger? Think an infectious reggae-infused song with the sunny dancehall vibes coming straight from legend Konshens.

Taliwhoah – “Juice”

“One taste and you’re hooked”. And she ain’t kidding. The stan level has remained at an all-time high ever since the North London soul babe appeared on the scene. And Taliwhoah’s latest, “Juice”, is a sensual slow-burner, with the equally heroic visuals positioning the singer as a irresistible bionic woman of sorts.

PVRIS – “Death of Me”

A flashing room, an ominous black snake and frontwoman Lynn Gunn being taken under a sea of people. It’s all in a day’s work for PVRIS, the Massachusetts-hailed band, who have dropped their latest propulsive and gritty number. Textured percussion, Gunn’s seductive vocals and a catchy hook? We’re so sold.

Gallant – “Crimes”

Maryland native Gallant has been making waves for a while now with his catchy brand of R&B (did anyone say Grammy nominated?), defined by the singer-songwriter’s caramel-trickle vocals and heartfelt lyrics. His latest track sees him confronting a lover about their toxic behaviour, or as Christopher Gallant puts it, all their “crimes”. We feel you.
