Get lost in a dystopian prison in the latest video from the East London duo.

Dirty Nice have always done things a little differently. Initially, East London duo Charlie Pelling and Mark Thompson bypassed traditional press releases, bios and photoshoots, instead elaborating on their music through a series of graphic art pieces released via telegrams.

It’s this old-school, unconventional attitude that shines through on their latest release “Up 2 Speed“, a vaporwave-influenced track exploring the challenges of keeping up with friends, news and technology in 2019.

“Nowadays, no-one is “Up 2 Speed””, the duo explains: “The world is moving too fast for humanity to cope. We can no longer reliably predict the future, even just a few years ahead. This song follows the story of old friends reuniting and struggling to keep up.”

The accompanying visuals portray a Black Mirror-esque dystopian prison, in which a prisoner is driven mad by their bizarre surroundings and bid to escape.
