Florals for spring and summer? Actually groundbreaking under the spell of Virgil Abloh on the third day of Paris Fashion Week Men’s.
For highly anticipated SS20 show, models stalked down the runway in an array of flower-bolstered tailored looks that nailed the perfect balance between streetwear and luxe.
Crocheted floral knits went over hoodies, and briefcases burst forth with mossy overgrowth. Shirting and suiting came in the babyiest of lilacs, and leather harnesses were swapped out for dried wheat-filled flower arrangements.
Further into the show, the colour palette progressed into loud, punchy pinks and turquoises with kitsch monogram detailing – one ensemble notably worn by Arsenal footballer Héctor Bellerín. What knee injury?
Summer personified, but in a way everyone can get on board.
