DSQUARED2 SS20 MENSWEAR

The Milan show saw the brand channel 70s Hollywood and Bruce Lee for their SS20 collection.

Dsquared2 released its SS20 collection in Milan last week, inspired by Bruce Lee and the 70s period in which kung fu met Hollywood action films in American and Hong Kong cinema. The looks drew from the zeitgeist of that exciting time, with the neon lights of Hong Kong, giant floral and embellished tiger prints, boxer styled robes, jackets and shorts all on show on the runway.

This was a collection defined by pants and prints, with trousers coming in multiple shapes, ranging from high-waisted numbers to straight-legged, cropped and pleated looks. Embroided imagery of tigers only served to embellish the designs, as did the silk boxers delicately styled to peek out from above the waists. Eveningwear included transparent tulle tanks and lace tops, whole there was a striking ambition in the use of materials, the highlight coming in the form of a half-wool half-floral silk jacket, perfect for any summer evening.

Guests included global superstar Maluma, actor Alex Fitzalan, and actor and model Karrueche Tran, who attended with her boyfriend, American Footballer Victor Cruz.
