An esteemed business man. A philanthropist. And of course, a legendary American fashion designer whose career has spanned over half a century, and has reached household name status with his namesake brand. And now, Ralph Lauren has added yet another accolade to his long, long list of achievements: oh, just a knighthood. Casual stuff.
Earlier this week in a private ceremony in London, Lauren was presented with the insignia by Prince Charles. For his services in fashion (which as we’ve mentioned, there are so many), his official title now reads as *deep breath* Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE).
Other notable recipients include Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg, Bill and Melinda Gates. Yep, it’s a biggie.
