We’ve already basically been in tears watching the trailer for forthcoming romantic-drama A Star Is Also A Sun (out 9 August), starring dreamy duo Charles Melton and Yara Shahidi – but don’t forget to keep an eye out for supporting cast member Camrus Johnson, who also has a sun-soaked feel-good song on the soundtrack.

“Chance” is a legit summer banger with an energetic production bolstered by Johnson’s honey vocals. So into it.

‘“Chance” is an old-school love song about how all I needed was this girl to give me one chance with her and I’d prove we were meant to be together,” explains Johnson. “I wrote the original lyrics when I was 18 or 19 about someone that I thought was just so perfect for me. To this day she’s so great. I never did get that chance though! So now, after rewriting it and recording it years later, I guess you could say ‘Chance’ is my introduction to whoever my soulmate is out there. Hey future boo, I’m CamRus and like big gestures… you cool with that?”
