MADONNA × QUAVO AT EUROVISION

Migos’ Quavo joined the Queen of Pop to perform their new track “Future”.

When it comes to watching the Eurovision Song Contest, we’ve all learnt to expect the unexpected. You might remember the UK’s 2007 entry – the air hostess uniform-clad Snooch, serving the cheesiest song of all time, “Flying the Flag“. Ireland’s “Dustin the Turkey” in 2008. Buranovskiye Babushki (The Grannies from Buranovo), performing “Party For Everybody” for Russia in 2012. But this weekend in Tel Aviv, Eurovision hosted its most surprising guest yets: Madonna, feat. Quavo from Migos.

Introduced as “the Queen herself”, Madonna’s set opened with a crowd of humming monks before she appeared, donning a blingy pirate outfit, singing “Like A Prayer”. Quavo (who probably got a real shock discovering exactly what he’d signed up for) then joined her on stage for their track “Future”, lifted from her forthcoming 14th studio album Madame X.

Their performance received mixed reviews, but when Madonna shows up to Eurovision, we can’t really complain.
