Some songs are just warm weather personified, and when the first propulsive synth keys hit you from ARLO’s “Rivers”, it really feels like summer’s coming.

The east London artist has been making waves with his soul-pop hybrid sound, bolstered with his soaring vocals – and “Rivers” just confirms his burgeoning talent.

“Rivers is a fun song with a meaningful message,” explains ARLO. “It’s me saying to myself that the bad times won’t last forever, there has to be some good news around the corner. It’s saying – please get back up and don’t give up on the things that make you happy. Rivers have to dry up in the end.”

ARLO will play his upcoming headline show at 02 Islington on 5 June.
