Yesterday Prada brought its Resort 2020 collection to New York’s Herzog & de Meuron-designed Piano Factory (the brand’s US HQ). As ever, they championed craftsmanship and a handmade aesthetic, reinterpreting classic silhouettes from a more modern and subversive perspective.
With a focus on busy layered looks, the collection featured brass-buttoned blazers and coats, over-sized shirts, cable knit sweaters and pleated skirts in pinstripe, check, embroidery and micro-pattern florals. The dreamy palette ranged from navy and teal blues to baby pink and burnt orange, and each look was accessorised with regal drop earrings, baroque pearls, backpacks and short handle purses including the new Prada Bowling Bag.
